A new journey

ok. This will be a new and tough journey for me.

Being in intec is a challenge for me. U can imagine how is it when all the top-scorers all over the country are grouped together, study together and live together.

Well, I am still in the process of making myself comfortable with the living and study environment.

Being with all the "genius" classmates, i can only struggle hard and try my VERY best.

As a word of conclusion: how tough the journey is, i will still go on, because this is the choice i have made, no regret and no turning back.

My last pop piano lesson

After completing Grade 8, there was this MMRM academy from malacca coming to my music school to teach pop piano lesson.and just after a few lessons, i am going to say goodbye.indeed i had bid my teacher farewell.sadT.T It's very fun learning as well as playing pop song.the most amazing moment is when i saw my teacher playing a song which seems very very simple on the score but turn out to be complicated and sometime u will just wondering wat the hell is he playing.with lots of improvisation.i think i learn a lot from him.but still,i am not as good as him.i still have a long way to go if i wanna play like him.he is a good teacher.i admire him.

This is last lesson before i go shah alam. i will miss the class.i know i will.

Well, these are a few pictures which my teacher insisted to take despite my refusal.=.="'

He is using my camera.

Outings with friends

I will just post someting very random and some memories.

Outings with classmates
Err..classmates including Su Jia, Shi Hwee, Pei Fen, Ying Han, Yu xin, Yu Jie, Kai Xin etc..We always hang out in KFC, Wetex and one time in Fung Seng..but now it switched to delikateza.more high class i supposed?haha( haiz..no photos la =.=")
The most recent one is yesterday which 4 JPA scholars and 1 petronas scholar gather togehter at deli cos we are very "eng" (free)

Outings with my guitar gang
We always gather at Chee Tze playing guitar ( i supposed it's norm?) and sometimes go 'lim teh' or play badminton which is very tiring.and there is one time we go tanjung.it was so so embarassing because we seems like beggars playing guitar along the lane.swt.
and we went KL together twice, for the concert and the book fair.

Outings with (errr...) not-so-intimate-in-reality friends
These will link to outings with abiman and wei jin (the most recent one) when we watch "Iron Man" and i was too shy to speak with these 2 gentlemen -.-
yea yea.this is the outing of 3 JPA scholars as well as 3 engineers-to-be.haha.i rmb when we were crossing the road, wei jin somehow said " if they ( the drivers) knock us down, Malaysia will lost 3 JPA scholars.(and there will be 3 more spaces for others who are not shortlisted.hehe)

Outings with ex-classmates
Ex-classmates mean friends in primary schools.we go 'moli' cafe and i forgot to bring along camera.lame=.=then we go wetex window shopping.

I am digging up all my old memories but it seems like..i cant remember somemore..anyhow, i am blogging about this because i feel that friends are what making our life more wonderful not to mention family which is the integral part in our lives..

Friends = Fun !

Engineer

U know what. I have never ever think of becoming an enginner.

i have dream of becoming an accountant, teacher, or at least something/job which are feminine(or at least)

But now, i think if all goes well, i am gonna become ******** in the future.which i am afraid to be.

(*edited part* as i dont wanna seem that i still cant accept the result)

I tell myself i gonna like it. And my cousin who is studying mechatronic engineering called from germany told me that Germany is fun( until he doesnt feel like wanna come back).

But, when i found out that in a class of very very few girls and and work ( in the future) under an environment of very very many guys.and when discrimination occurs.i started to feel .... uncomfortable ( or scared)

It's weird.very weird. My life gonna be different from what i have expected.Aiks.Everything just messed up these few days.what the HIGW!

OK.. i am gonna handle my own feelings until it becomes normal again. =.="

*contradiction occurs*

Have a look.

Posted Sunday, August 18, 2002; 7:31 a.m. EST
When you are little, it's not hard to believe you can change the world. I remember my enthusiasm when, at the age of 12, I addressed the delegates at the Rio Earth Summit. "I am only a child," I told them. "Yet I know that if all the money spent on war was spent on ending poverty and finding environmental answers, what a wonderful place this would be. In school you teach us not to fight with others, to work things out, to respect others, to clean up our mess, not to hurt other creatures, to share, not be greedy. Then why do you go out and do the things you tell us not to do? You grownups say you love us, but I challenge you, please, to make your actions reflect your words."
I spoke for six minutes and received a standing ovation. Some of the delegates even cried. I thought that maybe I had reached some of them, that my speech might actually spur action. Now, a decade from Rio, after I've sat through many more conferences, I'm not sure what has been accomplished. My confidence in the people in power and in the power of an individual's voice to reach them has been deeply shaken.
Sure, I've seen some improvements since Rio. In my home city of Vancouver, most people put out their recycling boxes. The organic grocery and café on Fourth Avenue is flourishing. Bikes are popular, and there are a few gas-electric hybrid cars gliding around. But as this new century begins, my twentysomething generation is becoming increasingly disconnected from the natural world. We buy our drinking water in bottles. We eat genetically modified organisms. We drive the biggest cars ever. At the same time, we are a generation aware of the world—of poverty and social imbalance, the loss of biodiversity, climate change and the consequences of globalization—but many of us feel we have inherited problems too great to do anything about.
When I was little, the world was simple. But as a young adult, I'm learning that as we have to make choices—education, career, lifestyle—life gets more and more complicated. We are beginning to feel pressure to produce and be successful. We are learning a shortsighted way of looking at the future, focusing on four-year government terms and quarterly business reports. We are taught that economic growth is progress, but we aren't taught how to pursue a happy, healthy or sustainable way of living. And we are learning that what we wanted for our future when we were 12 was idealistic and naive.
We are not cleaning up our own mess or facing up to the price of our lifestyles
Today I'm no longer a child, but I'm worried about what kind of environment my children will grow up in. In Johannesburg the delegates will discuss the adoption and implementation of documents by governments. Yes, important stuff. But they did that at Rio. What this meeting must really be about is responsibility—not only government responsibility but personal responsibility. We are not cleaning up our own mess. We are not facing up to the price of our lifestyles. In Canada we know we are wiping out the salmon of the West Coast, just as we wiped out cod from the East Coast, but we continue overfishing. We keep driving our SUVs in the city, even though we are starting to feel the effects of climate change—a direct result of burning too much fossil fuel.
Real environmental change depends on us. We can't wait for our leaders. We have to focus on what our own responsibilities are and how we can make the change happen.
Before graduating from college last spring I worked with the Yale Student Environmental Coalition to draft a pledge for young people to sign. Called the Recognition of Responsibility, the pledge is a commitment from our generation to be accountable and a challenge to our elders to help us achieve this goal and to lead by example. It includes a list of ways to live more sustainably—simple but fundamental things like reducing household garbage, consuming less, not relying on cars so much, eating locally grown food, carrying a reusable cup and, most important, getting out into nature. (For the full text, go to http://www.skyfishproject.org/.) Three friends and I will take the Recognition of Responsibility to Johannesburg, where we will meet with South African students and then present the pledge to the World Summit as a demonstration of personal commitment.
But in the 10 years since Rio, I have learned that addressing our leaders is not enough. As Gandhi said many years ago, "We must become the change we want to see." I know change is possible, because I am changing, still figuring out what I think. I am still deciding how to live my life. The challenges are great, but if we accept individual responsibility and make sustainable choices, we will rise to the challenges, and we will become part of the positive tide of change.

What's my name's hidden meaning?

What Ko Jing Ying Means
You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are fair, honest, and logical. You are a natural leader, and people respect you.
You never give up, and you will succeed... even if it takes you a hundred tries.
You are rational enough to see every part of a problem. You are great at giving other people advice.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You are deeply philosophical and thoughtful. You tend to analyze every aspect of your life.
You are intuitive, brilliant, and quite introverted. You value your time alone.
Often times, you are grumpy with other people. You don't appreciate them trying to interfere in your affairs.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

EST!咳。。很内疚哦,终觉得最对不起的是妈。。妈。。
